HESCO / Flood Defense Group (Iowa state contract channel)
Davenport used HESCO sand-filled barriers as its temporary Mississippi River levee for decades, and Flood Defense Group holds the State of Iowa master agreement for flood protection barriers, making this the default procurement channel for Iowa cities buying deployable barriers.

Our verification notes
Listed with its failure on the record, because a directory that only prints successes is not worth reading. During the record 2019 flood a HESCO barrier line on River Drive in Davenport breached and inundated the downtown; the failure investigation described the bottom of a basket sliding under river pressure with water slightly above the top of the baskets, and the manufacturer's own investigation reported no structural fault with the product. Treat this as temporary emergency flood-fight equipment, not dry floodproofing of a building, and not an endorsement. HESCO and Flood Defense Group are one supply channel in Iowa, not two independent options. No product certification was verified.
